# Lookup information on properties The LookupProperty endpoint returns general information regarding a property. Enum: "json", "xml" - `Options` (string) [Options](https://docs.melissa.com/cloud-api/property/property-reference-guide.html#property-referenceguide-lookupproperty-options) - Specify which options to use. List options in : format. Multiple options are delimited with a ,. For example: OptionName:Parameter,OptionName:Parameter. - Desc: - Default set to off. This options allows Property to return back human readable descriptions and meanings instead of codes. - LatestMortgage: - Default set to Off. This options allows Property to have the CurrentDeed structure represent the latest mortgage, if available. - `TotalRecords` (string) The total number of records in the request. - `TransmissionReference` (string) This is a string value that serves as a unique identifier for this set of records. It is returned as sent. - `Records` (array) - `Records.RecordID` (string) A unique identifier for the current record. - `Records.AddressKey` (string) An 11-digit key of the property. Based on the Zip5, Plus4 and two digit delivery code. - `Records.AddressLine1` (string) Input field for address line 1. This should contain the delivery address information (house number, street, building, suite, etc.) but should not contain locality information (city, state, postal code, etc.) which have their own inputs. - `Records.AddressLine2` (string) Input field for address line 2. This can be a continuation of AddressLine1 (ex: suite) or another address. - `Records.APN` (string) Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the property. - `Records.City` (string) The city for the property. - `Records.Country` (string) The country for the property. Currently only properties in the US can be looked up. - `Records.FIPS` (string) Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) code for the property. - `Records.FreeForm` (string) Free form address for the property. - `Records.MAK` (string) A proprietary unique key identifier for an address derived from Address Checking. - `Records.State` (string) The US state for the property. - `Records.PostalCode` (string) The postal code for the property. ## Response 200 fields (application/json): - `Version` (string) The current service version number. - `TransmissionReference` (string) Optional. Serves as a unique request identifier. - `TransmissionResults` (string) Lists error codes from any errors caused by the most recent request as a whole. This number is often associated with the owner rather than the property. When this number is associated with the owner, the value often can change and is not ideal for long term property identification. - `Records.Parcel.CBSACode` (string) Core Based Statistical Area code assigned by the United States Office of Management and Budget in 2013. Covers both Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Micropolitan Statisticals Area assignments. - `Records.Parcel.CBSAName` (string) Core Based Statistical Area name assigned by the United States Office of Management and Budget in 2013. Covers both Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Micropolitan Statisticals Area assignments. - `Records.Parcel.CensusBlock` (string) Census Block as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. - `Records.Parcel.CensusBlockGrp` (string) Census Block Group as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. - `Records.Parcel.CensusTract` (string) Census Tract as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. - `Records.Parcel.County` (string) The county where the property is located. - `Records.Parcel.FIPSCode` (string) The five-digit numeric Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) code. - `Records.Parcel.FormattedAPN` (string) The formatted Assessor Parcel Number (APN). Special characters are removed. - `Records.Parcel.MapBook` (string) The book reference for the parcel. - `Records.Parcel.MapPage` (string) The page reference for the parcel. - `Records.Parcel.MetropolitanDivision` (string) Metropolitan Division Name assigned by the United States Office of Management and Budget in 2013. - `Records.Parcel.MinorCivilDivisionCode` (string) A 5 digit numeric code assigned by the U.S. Census Bureau that is used by 29 states and corresponds or matches with towns within the state most of the time. - `Records.Parcel.MinorCivilDivisionName` (string) The name of the town indicated by the MinorCivilDivisionCode. - `Records.Parcel.MSACode` (string) Metropolitan Statistical Area code. - `Records.Parcel.MSAName` (string) Metropolitan Statistical Area name. - `Records.Parcel.NeighborhoodCode` (string) A code provided by the county tax assessor used to identify geographic areas within an assessing unit for property valuation purposes. A unique code is assigned for each geographic area. - `Records.Parcel.TaxJurisdiction` (string) Name of the tax jurisdiction. This is typically the name of the county with some exceptions. Those exceptions being primarily in the New England area where the townships are the taxing authority instead. - `Records.Parcel.UnformattedAPN` (string) The unformatted Assessor Parcel Number (APN). - `Records.Parcel.AlternateAPN` (string) The alternate Assessor Parcel Number (APN). This is different than the primary APN. - `Records.Parcel.APNYearChange` (string) The year the Assessor Parcel Number (APN) was changed from the PreviousAPN to the current APN. - `Records.Parcel.PreviousAPN` (string) The previous Assessor Parcel Number (APN). This number was changed by an Assessor. - `Records.Parcel.YearAdded` (string) The year the current APN was created. - `Records.Legal` (object) - `Records.Legal.Block1` (string) The parsed legal first block name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and block. - `Records.Legal.Block2 (Deprecated)` (string) The parsed legal second block name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and block. - `Records.Legal.LegalDescription` (string) The legal description of the property. This can be used to locate and identify a property. - `Records.Legal.LotNumber1` (string) The parsed legal first lot name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and block. - `Records.Legal.LotNumber2` (string) The parsed legal second lot name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and block. - `Records.Legal.LotNumber3` (string) The parsed legal third lot name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and block. - `Records.Legal.Phase` (string) The parsed legal phase name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and phase. - `Records.Legal.Quarter` (string) The parsed legal quarter value. This is used if LegalDescription uses section/township/range. - `Records.Legal.QuarterQuarter` (string) The parsed legal quarter of a quarter value. This is used if LegalDescription uses section/township/range and includes a quarter of a quarter notation. - `Records.Legal.Range` (string) The parsed legal range. This is used if LegalDescription uses section/township/range. - `Records.Legal.Section` (string) The parsed legal section. This is used if LegalDescription uses section/township/range. - `Records.Legal.Subdivision` (string) The parsed legal subdivision name. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision. - `Records.Legal.Township` (string) The parsed legal township. This is used if LegalDescription uses section/township/range. - `Records.Legal.TractNumber` (string) The parsed legal tract name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and tract. - `Records.Legal.Unit` (string) The parsed legal unit name or number. This is used if LegalDescription uses a detectable subdivision and unit. - `Records.PropertyAddress` (object) - `Records.PropertyAddress.Address` (string) The full standardized property address. - `Records.PropertyAddress.AddressKey` (string) The property address AddressKey. - `Records.PropertyAddress.BaseMAK` (string) A unique key assigned to the property base address of a complex with apartments or suites. - `Records.PropertyAddress.CarrierRoute` (string) Returns a 4-character code defining the carrier route for this property address. - `Records.PropertyAddress.City` (string) The property address city. - `Records.PropertyAddress.Latitude` (string) The latitude of the property in degrees. - `Records.PropertyAddress.Longitude` (string) The longitude of the property in degrees. - `Records.PropertyAddress.MAK` (string) A unique key assigned to the property. - `Records.PropertyAddress.PrivacyInfo` (string) Specifies if there is a legal restriction on marketing to this address. Not indicative of do not mail or do not call. - `Records.PropertyAddress.State` (string) The property address state. - `Records.PropertyAddress.Zip` (string) The property address Zip Code. - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress` (object) - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress.PostDirectional` (string) The street post directional of the property. - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress.PreDirectional` (string) The street prefix directional of the property. - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress.Range` (string) The street number range of the property. - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress.StreetName` (string) The street name of the property. - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress.Suffix` (string) The street name suffix of the property. - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress.SuiteName` (string) The suite name of the property. - `Records.ParsedPropertyAddress.SuiteRange` (string) The suite range of the property. - `Records.PrimaryOwner` (object) - `Records.PrimaryOwner.CompanyFlag` (string) Specifies if the primary owner is a company. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.MelissaIdentityKey1` (string) The Melissa Identity Key (MIK) for the first PrimaryOwner (Name1Full). Property owners may be assigned a unique MIK number in the Property database. This may be used as a contact identifier and lookup tool for our other services. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.MelissaIdentityKey2` (string) The Melissa Identity Key (MIK) for the second PrimaryOwner (Name2Full). - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name1First` (string) The first name of the primary owner. This will be the company name if this is not an individual. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name1Full` (string) The full name of the primary owner. The primary owner holds the most interest in the property at the time the assessment file was created. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name1Last` (string) The last name of the primary owner. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name1Middle` (string) The middle name of the primary owner. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name1Suffix` (string) The suffix of the primary owner. E.g. Jr, III, etc. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name2First` (string) The first name of the secondary owner. This will be the company name if this is not an individual. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name2Full` (string) The full name of the secondary owner. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name2Last` (string) The last name of the secondary owner. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name2Middle` (string) The middle name of the secondary owner. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Name2Suffix` (string) The suffix of the secondary owner. Jr, III, etc. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.TrustFlag` (string) Specifies if the primary owner is a trust. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.Type (Deprecated)` (string) Specifies if the primary owner is an individual, company, or deceased. If legally related, the secondary owner type will be detailed. - `Records.PrimaryOwner.VestingType` (string) Specifies the relation between multiple owners. - `Records.OwnerAddress` (object) - `Records.OwnerAddress.Address` (string) The full standardized owner's address. - `Records.OwnerAddress.BaseMAK` (string) The owner's Base Melissa Address Key (BaseMAK). A unique key assigned to the base address of a complex with apartments or suites. - `Records.OwnerAddress.CarrierRoute` (string) The owner's address Carrier Route. - `Records.OwnerAddress.City` (string) The owner's address city. - `Records.OwnerAddress.FormatInfo` (string) Returns a code for the address type in the AddressLine field. Please see the LookupProperty Service Codes for the list of possible codes. - `Records.OwnerAddress.MAK` (string) The owner's Melissa Address Key (MAK). A 10 digit unique identifier for the property address. This replaces the older AddressKey. - `Records.OwnerAddress.OwnerOccupied` (string) The owner's occupancy status of the property based on National Change of Address (NCOA) data. - `Records.OwnerAddress.State` (string) The owner's address state. - `Records.OwnerAddress.Zip` (string) The owner's address Zip Code. - `Records.LastDeedOwnerInfo` (object) - `Records.LastDeedOwnerInfo.Name1First` (string) The first name of the primary deed owner. This will be the company name if this is not an individual. - `Records.LastDeedOwnerInfo.Name1Full` (string) The full name of the primary deed owner. - `Records.LastDeedOwnerInfo.Name1Last` (string) The last name of the primary deed owner. - `Records.LastDeedOwnerInfo.Name1Middle` (string) The middle name of the primary deed owner. - `Records.LastDeedOwnerInfo.Name1Suffix` (string) The suffix of the primary deed owner. Jr, III, etc. - `Records.CurrentDeed` (object) - `Records.CurrentDeed.LenderName` (string) The name of the lender for the mortgage. - `Records.CurrentDeed.MortgageAmount` (string) The loan amount of the mortgage. - `Records.CurrentDeed.MortgageDate` (string) The mortgage official filing date. - `Records.CurrentDeed.MortgageDueDate` (string) The due date of the mortage. - `Records.CurrentDeed.MortgageLoanTypeCode` (string) The type of loan for the mortgage. E.g. construction, HELOC, FHA, etc. - `Records.CurrentDeed.SecondMortgageAmount` (string) The loan amount of the second mortgage. - `Records.CurrentDeed.LenderCode` (string) The standard ID code of the lender for the mortgage. - `Records.CurrentDeed.MortgageTerm` (string) The duration of the loan.
